Congratulations to all of our HAAS Cross Country runners for completing their first cross country season! Thank you for your commitment and your hard work! HPA BIIF Invitational Running Results/Sept. 29th

Our HAAS cross country team was back in running action this past Sat., Sept. 29th at the HPA BIIF Invitational! Our student runners competed against some great competition at this race which featured some Oahu schools as well as Big Island schools. Not only was the competition great, but the HPA running course was a challenge in itself. With two big hill climbs that most runners had to walk, our student runners came out with grit and confidence. Our heroes from this run was our girl runners, S.M. and C.J.. S.M. placed 21st in the open race, and C.J. placed 26th out of 68 open girl runners. We are very proud of runners! Let's continue to work had and run for fun! We only have two more races for our BIIF cross country season so let's stay focused!! The HAAS Cross Country team competed at the Kamehameha Invitational this past Sat., Sept. 8th. There was an open division and a varsity division. We are very proud of our HAAS runners as each student beat their previous 3 mile time by 2 to 3 minutes in just only one week! Our runners are progressing and their mental focus is sharpening. One of our heroes from this past running meet was our male 10th grade student, J.J. J.J. ran in the varsity race and placed 33 out of 88 students. He clocked in at an amazing 19:46:92! That was a three minute improvement from his last race in one week! It wasn't just his time that impressed all, it was also the way he ran the race giving it all that he had! It was a true inspiration to witness! HPA Running Meet, 9/1/2012

Our HAAS cross country squad ran with energy and passion for the HPA running meet on 9/1/2012! Our boys and girls team were in it to win it even though the HPA course was not an easy one with two major hills and a windy day. There were 138 girls and 224 boys competing at the HPA running meet.
