Howling at Spirit for Running

Once I tasted the drizzle
of the forest rain, running to the beat
of my drum...my perception cleared
to flowing rivers, to water moving over rocks,
to the trees whispering, to smells of damp earth,
to eagle song pushing me along into air,
into knowing that all is holy,
to gratitude, to howling
